Eduardo Fausti is an American-Argentinian artist and printmaker. His recent work involves printing colorful monotypes and black and white mezzotints. In his series of mezzotint prints, he examines granulated textures through images of heavenly bodies with starry dark skies as backgrounds. The elaborate process of the mezzotint technique and its range of tonal values, allows him to slowly reveal the images with a certain satisfaction. The results offer a personalized response of universal beauty devoid of cultural and historical conventions.

Eduardo Fausti received BFA from San Francisco Art Institute; and MFA from Rutgers University. He is the recipient of the Patricia Roberts Harris Fellowship in Visual Arts. He is in private collections and in the permanent collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. He currently lives in New York City, and Orcas Island, WA.
